Congratulations to Bolling's Meatery and Eatery on your Grand Opening! Cara Bolling and her new establishment won the Kansas Small Business Development Center Emerging Business of the Year. Woman owned and a great asset to Iola!
Bolling’s Meatery & Eatery is many delights wrapped up into one large and gorgeous building. Bolling’s offers a fresh-frozen meat market, grab-n-go style breakfast, sandwich deli lunch, coffee and smoothie bar, family restaurant area with full dinner service Thursday-Saturday evenings, cocktail bar and lounge and outdoor patio.
Bolling's Meatery & Eatery, formerly known as Bolling’s Meat Market and Deli, began in October of 2010 by Cara (Bolling) Thomas, and Mitch and Sharon Bolling. The Bolling’s family has been in the meat business for 4 generations starting 75 years ago when Mitch’s grandfather / Cara’s great-grandfather, Ted Bolling, was a butcher. Through years of tragedies and triumphs the Bolling family has expanded the meat business in different ways and surrounding areas. Cara’s vision began with expanding the family business to the Iola area with Bolling’s Meat Market starting with only a few hundred square foot of space. This space originally was opened as a retail only location selling products from the Moran Locker, owned and operated by Mitch and Sharon Bolling. As the need of this business in the community grew, so did their dreams and goals which has now brought the Iola Area Cara’s complete vision of the Bolling’s Meatery & Eatery located at 415 W. Madison Ave.
