WHY ARE WE HERE?   A 16 year-old girl thinks she may be pregnant.  Her boyfriend has threatened to leave her, and she knows he parents will be no help - she has nowhere to turn... A 20-year old college student discovers she is pregnant while in her final year of school.  She feels her life is over.  She will lose her sports scholarship, her appearance and her freedom.  She tells a friend who suggests she get an abortion.  She really doesn't want to... but what else can she do? A 13-year old is being pressured by her much older boyfriend to have sex.  She feels unloved by her family, knows many of her friends are giving in, and has no idea of the consequences that can come with pre-marital sex.  Why should she say no? A 30-something woman suddenly comes to terms with the fact that she had an abortion at the age of 17.  She becomes depressed.  Her relationships start to fall apart, where can she turn? OUR PURPOSE   Our desire at the Pregnancy Resource Center of Southeast Kansas is to offer HELP to those who may find themselves involved in an unplanned pregnancy.  We will offer free practical and emotional support to all those who come through our doors.     We desire to offer HOPE by providing education to the public in a wide variety of subjects that affect teens and young adults in today's society.     We also desire to offer HEALING to any who may have made negative choices in the past and share with them about the positive things they can do to change their future.
